I have chosen, The Potato People written by Angela Wright. The theme of good versus evil is well portrayed in “Potato People”. The good like Patrick and Marie turned out well and triumphant. Patrick and Marie endured a lot of hardship in the new country, America in their hope for a better life. They struggle and are paid off many years later. They got married and became rich cattle ranch owners in California. The evil, like Mr Graystone, was punished for his cruelty. He showed much brutality to the villagers of Skullguroagh by burning their villages to ashes. In the end he was murdered. The wicked deserved their punishment.
